  • 36 US dollars
  • Point Cadet Marina

Activity Description & Agenda

Practical breathwork, sunset, and... silence. Just you and nature. The excursion begins with simple breathing practices to settle the mind. For the remainder of the time we will travel slowly by pontoon boat along Deer Island and the Biloxi shore... no talking, no scrolling. When your mind's resources are not obligated to engage with others or technology, you are free to reconnect with nature in the moment. There's nothing like being on the water to reset your perspective. Breathwork is a natural tool by which we use different patterns of breathing to affect the nervous system into a different state. The practices that Second Wind teaches are very gentle, practical, and immediately effective. WHY BREATHWORK? Calming or stimulating the nervous system is a useful skill for any human as we confront the stressors and challenges of daily life. A fit nervous system responds efficiently giving you the opportunity to make the best decisions and take the best actions in any circumstance. **Second Wind does not utilize or teach holotropic, hallucinating, circular, or rebirthing breathing.** Those types of breathwork are used to induce more dramatic experiences. We teach simple practices that can be incorporated into daily life or used in specific situations.
